I love the current awareness of natural plant anti-inflammatories – turmeric being the most popular and most potent right now. Also try:
- Green and sage teas.
- Spices: ginger, cinnamon, garlic, black pepper, cloves.
- Fresh: vegetable juices, raw salads including leafy greens and ripe local fruits (wild blueberries*).
If you are troubled by inflammation, avoid refined sugars (corn syrup, commercial honey and treacle), refined oils (all except cold pressed), processed grains (flours), pasteurised dairy products, meat and alcohol. Same old advice – no fresh news here 🙂
Social media is full of recipes, dishes and hashtags. But there’s no point taking your turmeric with a glass of rosé – the one does not negate the other.
There is no such thing as ‘balance’ when it comes to regaining health from a compromised position.
Be cautious of your sources. It’s literally mind-blowing how much information is at our fingertips now. And.. many qualified people sharing information excel in their areas yet, there may be gaps in their knowledge..
