Bali: Travel Tips

I’m no travel guide, but.. here are some things I enjoy in Bali. If you’re coming for your first time this paragraph is for you.
– Alcohol is expensive here – if you drink, then hit up duty free on your way.
– Tampons are expensive here and only available in areas with western shops, bring a supply.
– Bring your medications (although many are available over the counter), mosquito spray, activated charcoal and antihistamines, plasters (band aids), nail files, silicone earplugs and, any natural products.
– A surge protector, if you’re bringing lots of gear.
– If you have larger than average feet, bring all the shoes you think you need.
– And tea bags ūüôā

CAUTIONS

– Never leave valuables out in the open. Always lock (or hide) whatever is lockable, wherever possible.
– Try not to wear easy-to-snatch bags while riding bikes – especially for women alone at night. Put the bag down by your feet or under the seat. Once dark, try to take well lit roads, and travel with friends.
– There are frequent ATM scams – check the machine seems to be in order before you use it.
– Overstaying your visa is expensive – best not.
– Alcohol is frequently spiked with dangerous poisons. Be cautious.

  • I live in bali, am setting up a yoga/ meditation/ holistic center in sanur (http://powerofnowoasis.blogspot.com/). We are looking for someone that we could reccomend to our students for colonics, or book them in with as part of an “add-on” to our retreats. Or even someone that will come down to sanur for a day here or there to do multiple treatments for our retreat guests- so i would like to meet you and try your treatment.

I am starting a 7 day fast today to co-inside with the “extreme super full moon event” and am coming up to the Bali Spirit Festival in a few days, so that would be a great opportunity to meet you and try your service.

Do you offer any discount to people living in bali? Are you going to attend the spirit fest?

Cool, hope to see you soon ūüôā

    Namaste,
    Theo

    • Hey Theo, yes I’ll be at BSF! We’re closed all of next week for colonics – open again on the 29th..
We offer discounts for packages of 3, 6 & 10.
Would love to meet up & chat about your plans,
      Look forward to it.. Suki

  • Suki, we run mind and body detox retreats in bali, often times in ubud area, can you tell me what type of colonic machine you utilise? thanks, anna
